In English !

November 15th 2012

Same as last week : pretty impressed indeed! It is almost fun to edit those new posts every week! I really should have thought of that earlier on if I had had the idea before !
In addition to my brand new editing enthusiasm, I am quite glad we are back to cafes. Topics were not too bad and my guess is that the next cafe will be taking place in two weeks from now. I'll let biokids decide. Fun by the way to see one of them working there and making tea cookies (peculiar) for us, to accompany our (expensive ?) beverages.
We still have to deal with some "civilization" class, don't we ? Time flies by pretty fast and this would be a shame to not do it, wouldn't it ?
This said, isn't there going to be any movie at all? Really? What's up with that?
Big piece of information : a good-be party will probably (most likely) take place on Friday December 9th. All my real friends and people whom I like in Croatia are invited, among whom biokids of course. After this, I am not conducting any classes anymore : it might be time for some people to become self-managed (under the "language surveillance" of a native speaker, that goes without saying).
All right : songs and written activities coming up !

November 8th 2012

Yep..I am impressed by what I have to edit now..long and pretty interesting texts..I guess three days ahead of me are going to be just about enough. Anyway, thank you all for your participation.
I have been pretty satisfied with how classes are conducted on Mondays. There is doubtlessly more and more autonomy within the biokids' group, which helps me a lot take care of the new ones.
Speaking of newcomers, the door is still open if ever some acquaintances of the biokids want to join.
New music this week, as well as new exercises which are supposed to incite written creativity, just like last week. Every now and then of course, there will be as well some texts to read, a little less easy than those of last year.  The "optimist" group is as well welcome to comment. I am by the way grateful toward the three of them who made the effort this week.
Like hinted at on the contract on Monday : list of attendance before Sunday/ Posts before Monday and a cafe to be organized enough ahead of time so I can find some French speaking comrade to help us out. A cafe next week will be formidable. And three by Christmas is the goal to reach.
See you soon and thanks for reading

November 2nd 2012

Here I am again for a short English post. This week has been a little short, due to the day off, but next week I sure hope  we'll be as productive as the week before.
I can note a steady amelioration of the quality of conjugation during the conjugation exercises. Good!
Let us continue this way. It certainly does not pay off in the short run very much but later on, after some "self-rebellion", results will come !
This week, new songs are up on the blog, hopefully appreciated by everyone. Everytime I choose songs, I usually like them and I try to pick songs of every style.
SOMETHING NEW this week is "written exercises"(for those who feel like they can do it) in which people have to come up with some poetry, according to the instructions to follow.
See you on Monday (biokids)
and on Tuesday and Thursday (optimistes)

October 26th 2012

Even though I am pretty glad the blog is getting bit by bit resurrected, I sure hope more people will try and write some comments on what is being shared on this blog.
Needless to say that a diligent correction sprinkled with advice will be carried out thereafter via e-mail.
It seems that the texts have not been read yet, which is why they will remain this week. I truly recommend the reading of those as they are really beautiful. However, it is more recommended for beginners to only read the first text.
Some songs will be added this week. The ones who did share some comments last week just have to focus on the new songs. Moreover, the grammar and vocabulary pages will be extended too.
This week has been globally pretty good. A good number of people, pretty good classes and a good cafe during the course of which everyone tried to best themselves. This will be organised pretty soon but I do not know exactly when. as there is a lot of work ahead of us.
Hoping to read you soon :)

 October 20th 2012

Here starts this  just-buried blog again, to my greatest amazement. I truly thought a page was turned after this passed year's huge work and here I am uncovering what will enable us to have a genuine taste of French culture...in writing.

Like previously and several times explained, writing turns out to be way too time-eating during class time, especially with such a heterogenous group.

Which is why writing will be for the most part carried out on this blog, and individually corrected via e-mail.  Every now and then, on very special occasions, some written workshops will be conducted at Jedan Drugi Svijet.

I am as well bringing back this blog to life for the biokids, who seem to not have enough of me yet and with whom I will try to figure out how to continue our cool learning adventure. :)

To whom who is not aware of how the blog works, there are 5 pages for you to enjoy :

a music page with 5 songs about which you HAVE TO comment (suggestions are greatly appreciated...but Carla Bruni)
a text and poem page, on which it is highly recommended to search for words you do not know.
The texts, about which you HAVE TO comment are divided up into two categories (complete beginners and intermediate-advanced)
a grammar page,  which sums up what has been so far seen and which will have been regularly updated
a vocabulary page that has to be regularly reviewed in order to become familiar and more and more ready to use spontaneaously in class

Please let me know on the French post (in French of course) when and whether you are to show up this week.
Enjoy,
